We had a fabulous time at our recent mushroom foraging trip. Little that we knew that the "call out" was going to attract so many interested people!
We were joined by many friends from other neighbouring communities, even from the other side of town! Hence we all met at a train station to pick up our “distant friend” and headed off to the pine forests around the Daylesford region.
The mushrooms we foraged included slippery jacks as well as pine mushrooms. Recipes were shared, as was a delicious meal of the freshly harvested sautéed mushrooms.
The weather was splendid and allowed us to enjoy a picnic, singalong and a warm fire at dusk.

We do believe we will venture out again for some more foraging, in the not too distant future.
